Tour
- A MapsAlive tour is a collection of web pages that make up a mini website.
- You can have as many pages in your tour as you like.
- A tour can have a title, menu, map, markers, photos, text, and video as well as other design elements.
Page
- A page contains a single map and the photos, video, and descriptive text associated with locations on the map.
- The canvas is the part of the page that contains the map, photo, video and text descriptions.
- In addition to the canvas, your page can include a banner, top or left menu, and colored header and footer stripes.
- If you just want to display photos and text information you can create pages that don't have maps.
Slide
- A slide is the area of the page that displays a photo, a title, descriptive text and videos.
- Each slide is associated with a particular location on a map.
- You can choose to display your slide content as Fixed Slides or Popup Slides
- If you choose Fixed Slides, your slide content displays next to the map in the canvas area.
- If you choose Popup Slides, your slide content displays in a popup window on top of your map. Using popup slides makes more room for your map by removing your photos and text from the canvas.
Map
- A map is any image such as a floor plan, street map, or diagram that is used to represent something in the real world.
- You can use any image as your map.
Marker
- A marker is a symbol positioned on a map to indicate where a slide is located.
- A slide appears when you mouse over its marker.
