Creating Your First Tour

Below are the basic steps for creating and using a tour.

• Create a MapsAlive account and login
• Create a new tour using the MapsAlive Tour Builder
• Add a map to the tour by uploading an image
• Create hotspots for the map and add text or a photo to each one
• Place the hotspots on the map using the Map Editor
• Preview the tour and make changes until you are happy with it
• Publish the tour to the MapsAlive server
• Run the tour standalone, or
• Add the tour to a page on your website

How to create a new tour

• Choose New > Tour from the Tour Builder menu
• On the Create New Tour screen:
  • Select the Show step-by-step instructions option
  • Follow the instructions
  • To save time, use the sample map and hotspot images that are provided
